Have You Considered Parenting?

When a woman is faced with an unexpected pregnancy, her first reaction is often fear. “I can’t believe this happened.” “There’s no way I can tell my parents!” “If my partner finds out, he’ll leave me.” Thoughts like these race through a woman’s mind.

If this is you, we suggest you stop, take a deep breath, and realize there’s help available. We’re your next best step.

Are you ready to be a parent?

Choosing to parent your child may seem like an impossibility but we assure you, like many women before you, it can be done. Sadly, children do not come with instruction manuals. Any parent will tell you it takes a lot of support, courage, and commitment. Here are a few questions to ask as you consider this option:

  1. Am I mature enough to parent?
  2. Do I have the support of my parent(s) or partner if I parent?
  3. Will I have to quit school or my job?
  4. What financial support do I have?
  5. Who can help me with daycare?
